Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: 2 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine License: Licensed by the State of Florida, Department of Health Office of Radiation Control Certifications: ARRT and/or NMTCB registries Current Basic Life Support, AHA Must-Have: Completion of an AMA-accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program Job Description: - Perform all Nuclear Medicine imaging, uptake, and dilution studies.- Assist with PET/CT imaging to ensure quality diagnostic exams.- Prepare radiopharmaceutical kits and patient doses.- Comply with state regulations regarding the handling of radioactive materials.- Schedule exams to ensure appropriateness and provide communication to families and physicians.- Coordinate daily patient flow efficiently.- Produce and evaluate images to aid the radiologist with timely interpretation.- Contribute to the treatment and care planning for patients.
