Job SummaryThe Population Health Business Manager leads a multidisciplinary team to improve health outcomes of patients. Additionally, this role will continually develop relationships across multiple organizations and departments to meet or exceed quality metrics, financial targets, and other value-based benchmarks. This position is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and evaluating daily operations of the department. This position will also be responsible for participating and leading continuous quality improvement activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Responsible for network development activities including, but not limited to, assessing strategic market dynamics and plan needs, identifying provider targets while meeting access standards (where applicable),
- Work closely with Provider Support teams to manage provider performance, analyzing network's quality benchmark results, missed opportunities, cost effectiveness, marketability, stability, and accessibility
- Identifying outliers and working closely with other internal departments in strategizing how best to improve performance while minimizing provider abrasion.
- Review trends and analysis data, developing summary of findings.
- Follow up with internal teams to discuss trends and develop strategies to improve patient engagement, clinical and financial outcomes.
- Leveraging knowledge and skill with a variety of analytic tools, design, create, maintain powerful visualizations (tables and graphs) and models that illuminate opportunities to support strategic planning and initiatives, improve organizational performance, project future demand, and advance progress towards company goals
- Partners with Business Intelligence and the business to define solutions and requirements.
- Ensures confidentiality and professionalism are maintained when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- All other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities- Direct supervisory responsibilities of Population Health Business analysts
- Provide guidance, mentoring and professional development leadership to direct reports
Critical Results- Ensures that Population Health Analysts provide reporting with >95% accuracy
- Complete >95% of provider attestations
- >90% of assigned projects completed on time
Education & Experience- 5+ years, including previous experience in healthcare required.

Undergraduate Degree
MIS, Health Informatics, Statistics, or related field
Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies- Prior people management experience required
- Knowledge and/or prior experience with Python, SQL, SAS and/or Tableau preferable
- Understanding of Healthcare environment, preferably Medicare ACOs and MSSPs
- Understanding of Microsoft Office and advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel
- Flexible to evolving demands and adaptive to change
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- High level of commercial acumen and big picture thinker
Physical RequirementsThis position works under usual office conditions. The employee is required to work at a personal computer as well as be on the phone for extended periods of time. Must be able to stand, sit, walk and occasionally climb. The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed.
