Job Title: Director, IT Operations
Role Summary: The inKind IT Operations Director will build and lead the IT Team for our late-stage startup, ensuring the corporate infrastructure supports rapid business scaling and aligns with strategic goals. This role combines hands-on technical expertise and strategic oversight to maintain seamless IT operations, secure data management, and high-performance systems and software implementations across all departments.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Build and manage the IT Operations Department, to include implementing and maintaining corporate infrastructure including cloud services, tool deployment and integration, cybersecurity, and help desk support;
- Oversee and administer the organization’s identity management system and establish best practices and policies for group and role based access to organizational tools;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify technology needs and provide innovative solutions to enhance business performance;
- Define and implement IT Service Delivery Program for in-person and remote employees and in office technical implementation and support (e.g. conference room technology, AV support, Wifi support);
- Implement corporate asset management program, including the configuration and maintenance of mobile device management;
- Develop, implement, and enforce IT policies, security protocols, and best practices aligned with business objectives;
- Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective and high-quality IT services;
- Monitor and manage the IT budget, forecasting future expenses based on the company's growth trajectory; and
- Recruit, train, and manage future IT staff, ensuring the team grows in step with business needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Administration, or a related field or equivalent experience;
- 7-10 years of experience in an IT Operations role with a minimum of 4 years in a leadership role, preferably within a startup or high-growth environment;
- Expertise in managing enterprise-level IT infrastructure and support services in multi platform (MacOS and Windows), hybrid workforce environment while keeping security best practices in mind;
- Experience implementing, maintaining, and supporting Google Suite, Microsoft 365, Slack, and other productivity SaaS applications;
- Experience in the configuration and maintenance of mobile device management software such as JAMF, Microsoft Intune, or AirWatch;
- Experience with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks, such as ITIL.
- Experience with developing, implementing, and enforcing cybersecurity best practices
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership, team building, and communication skills, with a focus on customer service and cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with implementation of IT Service Management (ITSM) methodology and configuration and use of ITSM software (e.g., ServiceNow, RemedyForce, Zendesk, JIRA Service Management, etc.)
- Maintains a current understanding of the IT threat landscape for the industry
- ITILv4 Foundation Certification
Work Environment:- The candidate in this position will be primarily located in an office environment and be exposed to lighting, temperature, and noise level conditions typical of that environment
- This position is primarily in-person, with an expectation of in-person work at the physical office location in Austin, Texas
- Working hours consist of standard daytime business operating hours with occasional after-hours availability for emergencies

Salary:
- $140,000 - $160,000 annually, DOE
