The Busser is a vital part of the restaurant team, responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting dining environment. This role involves clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables quickly, ensuring the dining area, service stations are tidy, and assisting servers with any additional needs to enhance the guest experience.
Responsibilities:
Table Maintenance:
• Clear dishes, silverware, and glassware from tables promptly and with care.
• Wipe down and reset tables according to restaurant standards after guests leave.
• Organize chairs and ensure tables are presentable for incoming guests.
Dining Room Cleanliness:
• Ensure floors, chairs, and table surroundings are kept clean and orderly.
• Monitor and clean spills or messes in the dining area quickly and safely.
Support Service Team:
• Refill water glasses and assist with bread or other table service as needed.
• Restock and organize service stations, including silverware, glassware, condiments, and other dining essentials.
• Assist servers and other staff with any guest requests and communicate with the kitchen when needed.
Guest Interaction:
• Greet guests warmly and courteously, ensuring they feel welcome.
• Respond to guest questions or direct them to the appropriate staff member.
Other Duties:
• Follow restaurant safety and cleanliness standards at all times.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by the manager or supervisor.
Qualifications:
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with the team and adapt to the flow of the restaurant.
• Ability to stand, walk, and move quickly for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and carry trays or other items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Experience:
• Previous restaurant experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided.
