Applications are invited for a full-time faculty in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. The Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at the Bernard & Millie Duker Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center is a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, psychologists, speech therapists and master’s level clinicians serving patients from our catchment area of 25 counties surrounding the Capital District of New York. Our team conducts diagnostic assessments and medical management of patients up to 21 years of age with the broad range of developmental concerns including Autism Spectrum Disorder, developmental delays, ADHD, learning disorders, behavioral health disorders including anxiety, as well as lead the program for neonatal follow up. We partner closely with the entire spectrum of pediatric practitioners, including psychiatry, pediatrics, neurology, and genetics in the care of children with complex medical needs. Recent practice innovations include a Medical Home for children with ASD, the development of a feeding team, and “fast track” developmental screening for children under age 5.
Candidates seeking opportunities to develop innovative programming within the scope of DB practice, to teach house staff and medical students and benefit from interdisciplinary collaboration are encouraged to apply. The Candidate will be eligible for a faculty appointment in Albany Medical College, rank will be dependent on qualifications and experience. Board eligibility or certification in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics is required.

The Bernard and Millie Duker Children’s Hospital, which houses a 60 bed NICU, 19 bed PICU, and a state-of-the-art pediatric emergency department that opened in 2018.
