About this role
We are looking for an Application Support Specialist who can act as technical Owner between internal Teams and Vendors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our applications, managing incidents, and collaborating with various teams including infrastructure, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors. The role requires a proactive approach to application management, ensuring timely communication and efficient problem resolution.
Location
The position can be based anywhere in the world, though some overlap with European working hours is a plus.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Application Management: Take the technical responsibility for managing assigned applications during changes, upgrades, or maintenance processes, ensuring smooth operations and minimal disruption.
Infrastructure Coordination: Collaborate closely with infrastructure teams to understand and communicate the infrastructure requirements during change or maintenance processes. Ensure all necessary provisions for infrastructure are clear and fulfilled.
Stakeholder Communication: Regularly interact with business stakeholders, providing timely updates on the status of changes or issues related to applications. Ensure smooth coordination between business teams and vendors.
Vendor and Application Management: Engage with application vendors to understand the technical requirements for any changes, upgrades, or maintenance. Communicate vendor requirements effectively to the business and infrastructure teams to ensure all parties are aligned.
ITSM Processes: Take ownership of Change, Incident and Problem management processes for applications assigned and drive process outcomes for assigned applications. Work closely with the Service Desk Lead to streamline issue resolution and handle common queries (FAQs), reducing the need for escalation.

Do you have experience in following?
Strong understanding of application management, including upgrades, changes, and infrastructure needs. Ability to coordinate with IT teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Experience working with third-party vendors to manage application updates and changes, ensuring clear communication between vendors and internal teams.
Hands-on experience in resolving incidents and managing problems, especially in the context of application support. Familiarity with incident tracking tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, etc.) is preferred.
Stakeholder Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with business stakeholders, provide regular status updates, and ensure that expectations are met.
