Our amazing QuickBooks remote accounting firm ** www.QB-LA.com ** continues to grow! And we especially need an assertive CPA capable of project management, but we also need related expertise from entry-level coding to controllers and tax experts.
This position is for a CPA who can manage our ~50 existing clients and our team of 5 accounting people of various levels. You need to be assertive, a bit aggressive and driven to get projects done on time.
This would be a great opportunity if you can reliably put in maybe 10 – 20 hours per week, remotely, from your home office. But you must be dependable and meet commitments.
Besides this we need more general QB expertise and here are some of the skills needed right now: please respond if you qualify in ANY of these areas –
• Currently work in QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop (Intuit certified is heavily preferred).
• College-level courses in accounting, preferably an accounting/finance degree.
• Experience in e-commerce, and sales taxes (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, Avalara)
• Familiarity with payroll, income, city, county, sales & use and other taxes.
• Besides QB you should be skilled already in WIN10/11, MS Excel, Zoom and Dropbox. And get ready to learn our cloud-based Jetpack project management system.
• We've got a great cloud-based time & billing system - Intuit Time (aka TSheets) - you bill us and we bill clients through this.
• Coding and general bookkeeping help is also needed.
And we like bullet-item lists so here are some more –
• You need a serious office with a modern Windows 10/11 PC, a fast Internet connection, at least 2 large external monitors, a multi-function printer/scanner/copier/fax and shredder.
• Compensation is as a 1099 contractor (not employee) per our written agreement.
• We can work around your schedule (as long as you meet commitments).
• This is not one of those high-stress multi-tasking craziness situations but requires diligence and concentration to just get a lot done.
• Compensation is not an issue - depends on your ability to move fast, take charge, and ultimately meet client deliverables with quality work. Competence and reliability are key.
