What are we looking for?
We are seeking a Senior Accountant with a solid understanding of accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations. This role involves owning the B2B billing process, managing accounts receivable and collections, performing month-end close procedures, and supporting revenue audits and reporting. Proficiency in Google Sheets, Excel, and foreign currency accounting is essential, along with strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, customer service orientation, and the ability to identify and implement process improvements while maintaining confidentiality and collaborating effectively across teams.
What will you do?
- Owning billing process for B2B.
- Perform AR aging analysis and proactively resolve outstanding discrepancies.
- Manage collections process, ensuring timely and effective communication with clients.
- Collaborate with the cash application team to accurately apply payments and resolve unapplied payments.
- Oversee the AR inbox for BetterHelp B2B business, providing timely responses and resolutions to inquiries.
- Ownership of the revenue audit requirement and inquiries.
- Assist the Senior Accountant in recording credit card transactions and maintaining accurate records as needed.
- Assist in managing AP inbox and other AP related tasks as needed.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close procedures, i.e. journal entries and account reconciliations
- Oversee and manage day-to-day accounts receivable cash application in AR subledger
- Responsible for various accruals at month end and assigned reconciliations
- Prepare various balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis for management reporting
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement, including engage cross functionally on such initiatives
- Assist on projects and ad-hoc assignments as needed
- Provide schedules as needed for audit and SOX
- Have experience with foreign currency accounting to assist with inter-co and international transactions

Can I work remotely?
Yes. We operate on PST and candidates in any time zone are welcome to apply. We ask employees to travel to our Mountain View, CA office up to three times per year plus one company-wide offsite to collaborate in person and strengthen working relationships. Travel expenses are covered and reasonable accommodations are made for those under unique circumstances who cannot travel.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in accounting.
- Solid understanding of the accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Superb time management and detail orientation.
- Proficiency with Google Drive, Google Sheet, Excel.
- Ability to keep company and partner confidences
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 USD. In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and the extensive benefits listed here (subject to eligibility requirements): Teladoc Health Benefits 2024. Total compensation is based on several factors – including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.
