Flix FX, a creative design and fabrication shop in North Hollywood, is seeking fabricators and carpenters for work. We are now in our 33rd year of servicing the film, experiential advertising, retail display, theme parks and live entertainment industries. Our projects are varied and the skills required range from carpentry, vacuforming, scenic painting, electronics, molding/casting, CNC milling, 3D printing, flat bed printing to metal fabrication.
We are specifically looking for experienced carpenters and well-rounded fabricators that can jump in and assist immediately with our current projects. If you are a hardworking team player with passion, have an attention to detail, and a desire to learn, please send us a resume.
Qualifications:
(A successful candidate will be a creative thinker that has hands-on experience fabricating in various mediums, specialists should also apply.)
• Minimum of 2 years of fabrication experience
• Experience reading and following engineering drawings is a plus.
• Understanding of basic shop safety practices
• Use of basic hand and power tools
• Maintain a clean, safe working area which includes abiding by safety standards
• Metal fabrication: drilling, bolting, cutting, forming
• Welding MIG/TIG experience would be a plus
• Dependable
• Team player
• Self-starter
• Reliable transportation
Note: position requires physical activities including climbing stairs or ladders, stooping, crouching to work on equipment, and lifting and carrying loads of 40lbs or more.
*Bonus if you have experience working with or operating CNC machines, graphic applications, low voltage electrical, machining with mills and lathes, or welding.
