ResponsibilitiesAscension is seeking a Director - Financial Integrity to join our accounting and reporting team, reporting to the AVP - Guidance, Reporting and Integrity. The responsibilities of this position are essential in helping to ensure the integrity of Ascension's consolidated financial statements, which are prepared and externally published on a quarterly basis, and subject to an annual external audit. Overarching responsibilities are as follows.
- Lead the financial integrity over financial reporting program, including risk assessments, quarterly attestations, and incident reporting.
- Oversee the documentation, maintenance, communication and training on internal controls, including ERP process controls (non-IT)
- Serve as the internal audit liaison, providing assistance where needed.
- Oversee the continuous monitoring analytics process, which includes journal entry compliance review and analytical review, in support of accounting best practices.
RequirementsEducation:
- High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
Additional Preferences- Internal audit experience in a large organization.
- Strong understanding of accounting processes and internal controls.
- Knowledge of financial reporting fraud identification is a plus.
- Knowledge of the internal controls certification process under Sarbanes-Oxley Act is a plus.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP is a plus.
