A Collections Specialist, reviews and analyses a company’s accounts to determine how to obtain the maximum amount of revenue for the company. Their duties include thoroughly researching accounts, developing collection campaigns and creating systems that regularly bring in revenue.
Job Duties:
- Handling and intelligently analyzing different types of data and data evaluation metrics
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
- Must understands banking & cash application.
- Researching accounts based on company records
- Contacting clients through emails, phone calls and standard post
- Developing collection systems to help to exceed the company’s financial goals
- Working closely with team members on multiple projects
- Collection experience is necessary.
- Must be able to work in EST USA time zone
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices & standards
Qualification
- BS/BA in accounting, finance, or relevant field
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting in a high-volume organization is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word & Excel)
- Familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. MS Dynamix, Bull Horn, etc.)
- Qualifications (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) is a plus but not required.
