Your Impact:
We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our Customer Insights team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to build data lakes and analytics systems to support product analytics features as well as internal data analysis needs, helping to drive product growth more effectively and efficiently.
What you'll do:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Set up and manage data infrastructure, including databases, data warehouses, and data lakes. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure smooth and uninterrupted data flow.
- Continuously improve data engineering processes and tools. Identify opportunities for automation and optimization to enhance data pipeline performance and reliability.
- Monitor data quality and integrity, as well as implement data validation and error-handling mechanisms.
- Implement scaling and sharding strategies for our databases to handle increasing data volumes. Optimize and scale data storage solutions to handle large volumes of data efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and industry regulations. Implement data privacy and security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve existing data workflows and processes to enhance performance and reliability.
- Work cross-functionally to your best efforts for long-term growth and platform success.

What you’ll bring:
- 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineer/Software Engineer role.
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, MongoDB,...
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Scala, or a similar language.
- Experience with ETL/ELT framework. Develop, test and deploy data pipeline design.
- Experience with Airflow, Prefect,...
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Experience with Databricks is a plus.
- Familiar with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Looker, etc.) is a plus.
- Software engineering skills, Git.
