Position Description:
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the primary contact between the customer or prospective customer and CoEnergy. The CSR is responsible for answering phones, assisting walk-in customers, processing customer payments, and responding to customer inquiries associated with the business. The CSR is also responsible for updating customer data and billing information in our operating software. The CSR will assist in dispatching the service technicians and drivers in an emergency or out of gas situation. CSR may be required to perform other duties as needed.
Specific Job Duties:
* Provide world class customer service in every interaction.
* Scheduling and confirming service appointments with customers.
* Use of a multi-line telephone system, copier, computer software.
* Maintain customer accounts in Cargas – update customer information with tank information, propane usage,
and other customer contact changes.
• Assist customers with placement of orders.
• Process customer payments and update customer payment information.
• Communicate deals and promotions to customers and prospective customers.
• Sell parts, appliances, tanks, and CoEnergy propane services.
• Obtain pipe fitter’s license to be able to build hoses and communicate propane safety to customers.
• Update customer contact on account.
• Work with the operations manager to ensure proper customer service is being delivered.
• Prepare customer contracts and ensure all information is obtained; set up new customers accounts.
• Close out or open call records.
Education Requirements:
A high school diploma or GED is required. Previous customer service or administrative experience is preferred. Propane or other energy sector experience is a plus.
Required Skills:
Express a “can-do” positive attitude and make customer service a priority in all interactions. Ability to multi- task and maintain composure under pressure. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable using multiple software programs. Knowledge of MS Office is required.
