WORK SCHEDULE: 225 Day Work Year, 8 hours per day
STARTING SALARY: Range $123,300 to $161,775 depending on education and experience. Comprehensive health and welfare benefit package.

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Superintendent or designee, the Technology Coordinator will research, plan, coordinate, and organize the acquisition, implementation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and support of all District computing, networking, data systems, and communications technology infrastructure. The Technology Coordinator will place the highest priority on incorporating all best practices of cybersecurity when planning projects and configuring systems that will successfully meet District technology needs.
The Technology Coordinator will be responsible for:
Planning, installing, organizing, and managing the district Information technology program and planning process.
Coordinating the overall strategic technology infrastructure plan, including network, computing and communications architecture, and disaster recovery planning.
Maintaining and managing the State data reporting system, the District’s SIS (Student Information System), Google Workspace, and other technology implementations.
Providing oversight and support of tech help desk functionality and work ticket prioritization
Ensuring compliance with established laws, codes, policies, regulations, and reporting requirements.
Managing technology refresh plans and upgrading projects, along with supporting vendor partnerships and E-rate initiatives.
Maintaining active awareness of new and emerging trends in technologies that further the educational and administrative mission of the District.
Collaborating with appropriate Business Office staff regarding technology budget(s); interacting with vendors for implementation and licensing, and ensuring proper E-rate filing requirements are met.
Managing and supporting staff with use of the phone and emergency radio systems and the District security camera system – serving as the technical contact with vendor(s).
Maintaining district asset inventory processes and management system.
Attending all PVSD Governing Board meetings and other after hour functions and coordinating meeting technology for in-person and virtual attendees.
Representing PVSD at SMCOE technology conferences and meetings.
Performing other duties as assigned.
And have the Ability to:
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, administrators, vendors, and community members.
Read, interpret and apply complex rules and regulations that pertain to federal and state programs, funding, and assessment information.
Communicate effectively with staff, parents, principals, school sites, community members, and government agencies in both oral and written form.
Train and support employees.
Plan and present professional development to a variety of stakeholders and district groups, and present technology related updates and plans at Board meetings – as needed.
Analyze structural issues, develop action plans, and collaborate in creative problem solving.

Experience and Other Requirements:
Four year college education preferred
Minimum 3 years of technology work experience
Resume and Letter of Introduction outlining desire and qualifications for this position
Valid California Driver's License
Have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, MacOS and iPad OS
Possess advanced knowledge of the Google Workspaces
Licenses and other requirements
CA DOJ and FBI fingerprint (Livescan) process completed prior to the first day of work.
Possession of a valid and appropriate California Driver’s License, since driving to and from school and district sites will be a daily necessity.
