Job Posting: Patent Prosecution Legal Secretary
Adams & Martin Group is seeking an experienced Patent Prosecution Legal Secretary for a full-time role at a prestigious law firm in San Francisco. This position offers excellent benefits and requires strong administrative and document processing support for attorneys and paralegals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file patent application documents.
- Draft Office Action shells and client reports.
- Conduct patent research and obtain necessary documents.
- Track patent application statuses and prepare complex Excel spreadsheets.
- Manage client billing and coordinate invoicing processes.
- Provide confidential administrative support and manage calendars.
- Assist with correspondence and communication with clients and vendors.
- Handle travel and expense reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required; some college or PLS Certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in a law firm or related environment.
- Knowledge of legal terminology, electronic invoicing, and patent processes.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software.
- Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as part of a team.
- COVID-19 vaccination required, subject to accommodation.
Working Conditions:
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote.
- Full-time, standard 5-day workweek with potential for additional hours as needed.
