Institute for Business and Technology is hiring an Externship Coordinator! Want to help others become medical professionals?
College Campus-No Experience Required-Medical Field Experience is required
Do you have experience in the medical field? Do you like helping others? Since 1989, our campus has offered medical training programs that prepare students for exciting careers in the growing medical profession. As the final step in the education process, students spend their final module (externship) putting their skills to work in one of a variety of medical facilities. The Externship Coordinator maintains existing relationships and fosters new relationships with medical offices, labs, and other facilities to enable students to complete their programs. Full training included for the right candidate.

Skills/Attributes:

Responsibilities:
• Assist upcoming medical assistant, phlebotomists, and laboratory assistant graduates with finding medical sites to complete 4-6 wk. on-site training at no fee to medical site(s)
• Expand upon list of externship sites already in partnership with school
• Monitor and maintain State, federal and accreditation regulations of student records with respect to time cards, evaluations and other required documents
• Cultivate current sites to maintain partnerships
• Actively seek and establish new sites; market and research for new and potential clients
• Recruit local medical facilities to build a network of externship sites for medical programs
• Ensure sufficient openings are available at sites for students needing externships
• Keep accurate records of students placed at medical offices and facilities
• Conduct externship orientation for students prior to sending them out to site
• Meet benchmark for extern to hire
• Work closely with the Career Services Department
• Assist with Program Advisory Boards
