We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various routes. This position requires proficiency in operating different types of trucks, including flatbeds and refrigerated trailers, and involves loading and unloading freight as needed.
Duties
Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations.
Drop and Hook from Longbeach Port.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transport.
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck.
Qualifications
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is required.
Valid Twic Card.
2 years of Long Beach port experience.
Proven experience in truck driving, preferably with containers.
Excellent time management skills with a focus on punctuality for deliveries.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
Must pass all required background checks and drug screenings.
