Our Brands. Your Future.As the Program Manager for Workers Comp and Health Wellness, manages policies, vendors, and programs for the workers compensation department. Oversees all aspects of work injury claims including reporting, tracking, and investigation. Collaborates with third party administrator (TPA), and any monopolistic state workers' compensation programs. Analyzes claims for risks, trends, and provides strategic recommendations to mitigate potential risks. Partners with management to cultivate a safe and positive work environment focused on reducing poor experiences, outcomes, and exposure to litigation. Responsible for ensuring that workers compensation information is provided to the appropriate individual(s). Also works closely with government officials to ensure that the organizations corporate workers compensation policies are compliant.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: - Oversees the full life cycle of workers' compensation claims and develops strategies to handle specific cases in consultation with the proper parties.
- Enforces workers' compensation programs in alignment with department and company policies and procedures.
- Discusses appropriateness of medical treatment with medical case manager.
- Partners with internal teams on overlapping matters related to individual claims for leaves, return to work, accommodations, employee relations, grievances, and performance management concerns with a goal of positive employee experience and outcomes, and reducing liability for litigation.
- Reviews claim file reserves and makes recommendations to TPA based on evaluation.
- Participates in claims review with TPA, legal counsel and internal partners to discuss case updates and legal strategy towards cost effective and timely case resolution.
- Conducts return to work and interactive processes with injured employees, oversees outside disability management vendors on litigated cases.
- Identifies potential risk exposures and analyzes injury claims for potential risk trends to develop short and long-term resolution in partnership with appropriate parties to support mitigation of injuries and claims.
- Partners with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to evaluate employee worksites and identify potential work injury job hazards including indication of safety, ergonomics, or additional risk trends. Brings forward concerns and discusses potential causes with EHS and management to identify and explore solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration plus 5 years of workers compensation claim and disability management experience to include 3 years of increasing levels of responsibility OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 9 years of workers compensation claim and disability management experience to include 3 years of increasing levels of responsibility.
- Expert knowledge of workers compensation laws, policies and procedures.
- Experience responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
- Experience effectively presenting information to customers, employees or management within an organization.
- Experience overseeing vendors and advising on plan design adherence and standard work.
- Basic knowledge of medical and legal terminology.
- Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

WHAT WILL SET YOU APART: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration plus 7 years of workers compensation claim and disability management experience to include 3 years of increasing levels of responsibility OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 11 years of workers compensation claim and disability management experience to include 3 years of increasing levels of responsibility.
- Claims Adjuster license or Workers' Compensation Claims Administration (WCCA) certification.
COMPENSATION - Hiring Salary Range Posted: $97,020 - $161,800
- Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
