Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Project Manager.
The NYU Grossman School of Medicine s Center for Healthful Behavior Change housed in the Institute for Excellence in Health Equity is leading a new initiative that involves partnerships with several large health care centers including the Family Health Centers at NYULH and NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation The purpose of this project is to guide the implementation of a maternal health community implementation project We are seeking a motivated Research Project Manager with strong commitment to health equity The Research Project Manager works under the general direction of the program Contact Principal Investigator and is responsible for overseeing the general day to day operations of the study Expected to perform the general functions: Ensure the accurate execution of the study protocol in accordance with Good Clinical Practices HIPAA and IRB Provides supervision of research support staff interns and Community Health Workers
Job Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Investigative team to ensure research priorities and deliverables are achieved Develop participant recruitment and engagement strategy and modifications as needed nbsp;
- Manages the coordination and completion of project activities on time setting deadlines assigning and tracking responsibilities and monitoring and summarizing the progress of project nbsp;Assist with research staff recruitment Onboarding training and supervising a team of community health workers research assistants trainees and interns/volunteers nbsp;
- Develops staff training protocols lead staff training and performs staff evaluations Conduct regular supervision meetings serving as a mentor to research staff
- Oversee fidelity to the study protocol and ensure proper informed consent process Work closely with Data Team to ensure proper development of study digital platform
- Prepares progress reports to funding agencies and presentations to sponsoring and regulatory agencies Prepares and provides reports to all necessary parties e g the principal investigator sponsoring agency etc on the progress of the study as needed Provide lay summaries on study progress to community partners nbsp;
- Assist with monthly reports works to ensure vision of community engagement is implemented including organizing meetings communications and evaluation evenings and some travel may be required
- Develops and maintains a system for management and communications of a multi partnership to ensure successful implementation Communicate closely with the Investigators and other members of the study team and vendors to provide updates about study progress and related issues Serve as liaison between research team clinical and community partners
- Facilitate meetings and webinars Coordinate with appropriate Administrators and oversee timely payments of all consultants
- Contributes to preparation of abstracts and presentations for conference and professional meetings Assist with qualitative interviews focus groups and analysis Assist with grant writing and manuscript preparations nbsp; nbsp;
- Participate in special projects and perform other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Master s degree or equivalent in health care administration or related discipline Minimum of four years progressively responsible related experience coordinating clinical/research trials Proficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as World Excel Access PowerPoint and Outlook Familiar with Internet applications Effective verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical organizational and interpersonal skills Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers Ability to work within a team environment as well as independently Commitment to continuous learning as required by department administration Ability to make decisions independently Ability to manage time multitask and prioritize work Strong understanding and knowledge base of coordination requirements associated with clinical/research trials Ability to identify analyze and solve problems; ability to work well under pressure
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD in related field Five years of progressive experience coordinating clinical/research/community centered projects Experience organizing and conducting community focus groups community input sessions or listening circles with limited oversight Knowledge of community engagement frameworks and approaches to research Proficient with REDCap Excellent time management skills and demonstrated ability to organize complex tasks to meet deadlines as well as supervision experience Strong interpersonal and organizational skills outstanding judgment initiative and attention to detail

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 – $89,929.31 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
