The role you’ll contribute:
The Clinical Resource Manager provides leadership and consultation to company facilities in the clinical review, evaluation and procurement of products and leads multi-disciplinary teams to decrease product variation, utilization and costs through the development of consensus supply utilization programs and initiatives. This position works closely with the Office of Clinical Effectiveness and teams representing all hospital sites to review contracts and assist with the value analysis process. This position is responsible for gathering information from clinicians, communicating and soliciting feedback from hospital personnel evaluating the quality of the products in review, and coordinating and assisting, as necessary, in the implementation and conversion of products. This position is responsible for acting as a resource for Supply Chain Managers, hospitals personnel, CNOs, Corporate Advisory and value analysis committees and external contracting/clinical committees.

- Facilitates clinical teams to review utilization and options for product selection for our Great Lakes Region
- Identifies product standardization ideas, resource consumption reduction, and/or savings ideas and bring them to the appropriate committee for action
- Collects, analyzes and prepares information, conduct surveys and presents information for decision making
- Reports to Regional Supply Chain Director and collaborates on implementation of initiatives
- Applies evidence-based healthcare practices and nursing standards in the implementation and evaluation of products and services
- Designs a product conversion process from inception through implementation, including re-evaluation of conversion to determine if initial goals recommended have been achieved
- Develops effective communication for clinical staff for all conversions and utilization projects and engages clinicians in discussion of practices and products resulting in successful savings opportunities
- Ensures compliance with local, state and federal guidelines and requirements with regards to products and services
- Demonstrates clinical expertise and knowledge gaining respect and trust of all AdventHealth colleagues
- Manages supplier relationships to support AdventHealth facilities, ensuring education and in-service needs are met and any product quality assurance issues are addressed and resolved
- Integrates and participates in some capacity in value analysis committees regarding products and sharps safety initiatives
- Assesses and interprets data relative to supply chain performance measures and recommends actions to be developed and implemented by researching and recommending opportunities for cost management processes, which support best pricing and best-practice outcomes for clinical products
- Serves as a liaison to Supply Chain leadership to maintain and communicate key performance indicators (KPI’s) related to clinical and financial performance measurements
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
- RN with Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Management or related healthcare field
- 5 or more years’ experience as a nurse in an acute care setting
- Understanding of healthcare supply chain as it pertains to products, processes, GPO and supplier relationships, contracts, sales, and marketing
- Clear understanding and experience in value analysis processes and methodologies
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
- Master’s degree in nursing, business or related field
- 5 or more years’ experience in the operating room, Cath lab or critical care environment.
- Experience in supply chain functions and value analysis leadership within a multi-hospital system
