David O. Roberts, P.E., Inc. is a small (one-person) structural engineering company providing design services to clients in the Orange and Los Angeles Counties . We are located in Fountain Valley, California.
Job Description:
We are looking for a competent part-time Bookkeeper to help with the organization and running of the financial operations of the company. This person will be comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail as well as sharing new and effective ways to achieve better results. Work hours will be approximately 4-8 hours on the middle and last Friday of each month. A day other than Friday is possible. Remote work is not possible at this time, a candidate who lives within a 15-minute range of Fountain Valley is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Record weekly hours and expenses
- Prepare monthly invoices, statements, etc.
- Reconcile checking and credit card accounts
- Monitor QuickBooks online payroll
- Generate 1099s
- Produce QuickBooks Profit & Loss and General Ledger documents and to provide them to CPA for business taxes
- Track accounts Payable and Receivable
- Office organizational ideas are a plus
Skills:
- Experience as a Bookkeeper or in another relevant administrative role
- Working knowledge of office equipment
- Thorough understanding of office management procedures
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
