As Roadio’s Hardware Quality Engineer you will be responsible for spearheading the development of robust quality-control practices across our factories and global supply chain partners. You will work with suppliers in cooperation with Roadio Hardware Engineering, Supply Chain and Sales to meet Roadio’s high quality standard goals.
Responsibilities:
Develop product quality plan for FATP and key modules in collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Create appropriate inspection plans based on supplier’s process and quality capabilities
Set up quality goals and improvement projects, monitor the yield rate in suppliers and drive suppliers to achieve yield improvement month to month
Through Quality Control Planning, ensure Critical to Quality (CTQ) product characteristics are monitored for process capability and capable of repeatedly producing parts to specifications
Engage in evaluation of new potential suppliers and conduct onsite auditing of the supplier to assess quality and/or process related requirements
Establish feedback loop and quality matrix between customer support, engineering and operation team on field reported hardware quality issues
Experience Required:
MS/BS degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacture Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
At least 3+ yrs of work experience in NPI Quality Engineering for consumer electronic systems (camera related is a plus)
Experience in Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R)
Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin
High degree of self-initiative and ability to think and act independently
Expected deliverables in the first 3-6 months?
Conduct current state mapping of quality checkpoints and test coverage across key modules and FATP sites, then create a product quality plan and identify gaps with priority rating
Develop a real-time quality dashboard derived from factory quality and test APP data to provide a top down view of quality trend and top issues
Identify & fix the top field / FQC issues by conducting thorough RCA and implement short / long term QA control screens for each issue, then quantify the effectiveness of the fix for the initial four weeks
