Duties and Responsibilities:
The role of the Technology and Data Assistant is to assist with building and maintaining databases as needed, while also being a first point of contact for the company’s technological needs. Role duties include, but are not limited to, assisting the Technology and Data Specialist with various projects, researching and preparing data for other departments, as well as assisting with computer or printer repairs as needed. There will be the additional responsibility of helping to create reports for other departments as requested. The Technology and Data Assistant will also help prepare tax and financial reports as needed. The Technology and Data Assistant will also handle answering incoming phone calls and assisting with front desk needs.
Reports to: Technology and Data Specialist and management staff.
Knowledge Requirements:
Some Knowledge:
• Knowledge skills with SAP Crystal Reports and Spectrum are preferred but not required, on-site training will be provided by the Technology and Data Specialist.
• Working and maintaining with a plotter printer.
Extensive Knowledge:
• Azure database
• Computer repair
• Software troubleshooting
• Printer troubleshooting
• Java
• Wi-Fi troubleshooting
Comprehensive Knowledge:
• SQL
• VBA
• Python
• Writing recursive functions
• Excel
• Google Sheets
Educational requirements:
An associate’s degree in data analytics or related field or 2+ years of experience working with databases. Skill-based assessment will be given if asked for an interview that lasts about 30 minutes.
Working Conditions:
General office conditions, mostly sedentary with some walking to another building for 8 hours. Rare occasions to be outside to assist with installing equipment/ testing equipment. Must be able to lift at least 20lbs without assistance.
Personality Skill set:
Must have good communication skills and be very organized. Has good time management skills and has good coding practices (adding comments, receptive to feedback, willing to follow guidelines). Someone who is motivated to find solutions to complex problems. Is a good listener and is good at explaining a solution to a problem on someone’s knowledge level of technology skills. Has experience working collaboratively on a project and enjoys working in a team. Someone who strives to improve themselves and learn, reaches out for help when needed.
