The College Preparatory School, a private high school in North Oakland, seeks an Assistant
Varsity Baseball Coach for the spring 2025 season. We seek dynamic candidates looking to help
build on an established and successful program. Coaching candidates focused on coaching
baseball and teaching lifelong values of sportsmanship, integrity, commitment, personal
responsibility, teamwork, and self-discipline. The 2025 season runs from February 10 through
May 30.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
● Providing instruction, mentoring and coaching the necessary skills, techniques, and
competitive strategies of baseball
● Working cooperatively and professionally with all school staff
● Attending all department and league meetings
● Presenting a positive image to the student-athletes and the campus community by maintaining
appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics
Qualifications:
● Knowledgeable of the fundamentals and advanced techniques of baseball
● Be able to teach, be a positive role model, and provide direction to players of all skill levels,
from the beginning player to the advanced player
● Applicants must have experience in coaching at the high school or college level
● Positive and professional attitude
● Flexible afternoon and evening schedules
● Valid California driver's license
● CPR and first-aid training preferred (or willingness to gain proficiency)

Salary: $20-$25/hour
