What You'll DoWe are looking for a Product Manager to join our Client Experience technology team within Principal Asset Management. In this role, you will partner with our institutional sales, service, and engineering teams to deliver solutions that enable growth and retention of new and existing clients.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and communicate a clear product strategy for technology solutions that enhance institutional sales and service processes.
- Accountable for understanding and defining key business outcomes and requirements for your product(s).
- Lead product backlog and prioritize product features.
- Collaborate with sales, service, business intelligence, and analytics teams to deliver technology solutions that improve client satisfaction and support go-to-market strategies.
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of our business processes and a comprehensive understanding of technology's role in solving business problems within the product team.
- Use metrics and analytics that drive decisions to ensure product development aligns with business goals.
- Communicate product updates, timelines, and risks to internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Be responsible for product health and find opportunities for product innovation and improvement.

Who You Are- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, plus 2+ years of related business, technology, or product management experience.
- Familiarity with modern product methodologies (ex: Agile) and product management tools (ex: JIRA, Confluence).
- Strong critical thinking skills to resolve complex challenges while balancing opposing priorities and strategic business goals.
- Demonstrated ability to complete multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Must be team-oriented with the ability to efficiently to meet deadlines and successfully form relationships across business units.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and clearly articulate product strategy across multiple levels of both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Skills that will help you stand out:
- Knowledge of the asset management industry including institutional sales, service models, and the unique needs of institutional clients is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of financial technologies, data management, CRM platforms (preferably Salesforce), and digital solutions tailored to institutional investors is preferred.
Salary Range InformationSalary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)$81900 - $147600 / year
Time Off ProgramFlexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness. Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

You'll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
