Resp & Qualifications The Talent Acquisition Manager reports to the Director, Talent Acquisition. The position will develop, manage, and execute innovative recruiting strategies that will identify and attract top talent to CareFirst. The Talent Acquisition Manager will be expected to lead and develop a team of high-performing recruiters to deliver exceptional performance by fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. The Talent Acquisition Manager may work in an environment of ambiguity and sometimes competing priorities, making adaptability and flexibility essential for success. The Talent Acquisition Manager is an innovator and encourages the team to embrace change as an early adopter.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The Talent Acquisition Manager will have the following key responsibilities:
- Partner with business leadership and HR colleagues to assess current and future workforce needs and develop and implement innovative recruiting strategies to build a pipeline of qualified candidates to support those needs.
- Working with the Director of Talent Acquisition, provide professional expertise and support in the design, development and implementation of a best-in-class talent acquisition process that results in an exceptional interview and onboarding experience.
- Maintain and utilize a deep understanding of market channels to advise hiring managers and business leaders on emerging market trends and competitive best practices. Utilize data and insights to inform decisions, and report results to business and Talent leadership.
- Manage recruitment and selection activities for executive level positions.
- Develop and coach a high-performing recruiting team to deliver excellent performance and achieve short and long-term organizational goals and objectives. Drive accountability by establishing and communicating performance expectations, monitoring performance, identifying and addressing gaps, and providing consistent feedback.
- Partner with internal DEI team and hiring managers to identify priority areas and drive diversity recruiting strategies.
- Continuously assess talent acquisition process and recommend and drive process improvements as necessary.
- Proactively build and maintain strong, collaborative alliances across HR and other functional partners in the recruitment process.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience:
- Bachelors degree in human resources, Business, or related field; in lieu of a Bachelor's degree, 4 years of additional relevant work experience.
- 7+ years experience in Recruiting in a corporate and/or agency environment, with increasing responsibility.
- 2+ years experience direct management of recruiting team. Exceptional track record of building, managing, and coaching a high functioning Talent Acquisition team.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Exhibits poise and emotional maturity in high-pressure moments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience partnering and driving change with senior level management.
- Successful track record of driving process improvements.
- Expert-level proficiency working with recruiting tools and systems, internet sourcing tools.
- Experience analyzing and interpreting data and translating analysis into recommendations.
- Strong project management, organizational, and technical skills.
Salary Range: $115,440 - $214,286
