Our growing personal injury firm is looking for a legal assistant/case manager. The primary tasks will include:
- General administrative office tasks such as copying/filing/scanning/answering phones, client intake, and generally assisting with the office;
- client intake, and case management, primarily monitoring client's treatment, scheduling appointments, frequent client follow up, collection of medical records, and preparation of file for sending a demand.
We are a hands-on firm. All potential employees must be able to come into the office 5 days a week, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. It is a casual environment, yet fast-paced and the potential employee should be prepared to jump in and learn by doing. We also would like someone who is a self-starter and can take initiative.
There is room for growth for employees who have an interest in advancing their career in the legal field, or may hope to transition to a paralegal, office manager or even an attorney in the future.
Experience is not necessary. Starting compensation is dependent on experience.
Ideal candidate has good interpersonal skills, highly organized and detail-oriented, and is proficient in Microsoft Office.
We use Clio as our case management software, so experience using Clio is a bonus, but not necessary.
MUST BE BILINGUAL - ENGLISH and SPANISH - this is a requirement.
Further, we give paid vacations for Holidays including the winter holidays (X-Mas - NYE), and 1 or 2 days off for other Federal holidays including Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day and Thanksgiving.
