Evergreen focuses on the sale of outdoor plants and horticultural products to the public, including indoor houseplants, edible plants, California Natives, and water-wise varieties. Many of our customers look to Evergreen for tips on how to nurture their plants as well as product suggestions.
Employment Type: Part Time/Full Time, Seasonal
Reports To: General Manager and Store Supervisors
Compensation: $17/hour for entry level; more based on experience.
Job Duties:
-Greet visitors and customers
-Provide friendly and efficient customer service
-Sell plants and garden center products to interested customers
-Water and groom houseplants and nursery plants as needed.
-Assist in creating, stocking, and merchandising displays
-Assist with maintenance of the nursery, including watering, cleaning, maintaining signage, and other duties as assigned
-Use electronic point of sale system to check-out customers
-Re-stock as necessary

-Excellent Communications skills
-Friendly disposition; enjoys working with people
-Speak/write Spanish a plus
-Social Media skills a plus
-Enthusiasm and initiative
-Self Starter
Requirements:
-High School Diploma or equivalent experience;
-Proficient in use of PC
-Capable of learning new technology and software applications
-Desire to significantly expand horticultural knowledge and selling skills
-Available to work on weekends
-Ability to safely lift up to 35 lbs.
