Optical Assistant - FT Tuesday through Saturday
The duties include performing a series of preliminary exam tests before our patients see the doctor, and setting up the exam room with the results of patient data collected. The OA opens the EMR for the exam; records the reason for the visit, the chief complaint, the history of present illness and updates the EMR with any new medical history such as changes in health or new medications. They relay and communicate this information directly to the doctor. The OA is responsible for all supplies required in the exam room in preparation for the visit. Experience with EMR is helpful. Must have excellent communications skills, a positive outlook, and be willing to learn. We will provide training.
We use state of the art technology and equipment to screen our patients including Retinal Imaging, OCT, Visual Fields, Aberrometry, Auto Refraction, Corneal Topography, Tonometry and Meibography.
