As a Principal Trainer you are responsible to provide training on Valmet D3 and FlexBatch product lines to our Customers and Employees.
1. Training is typically provided in our office or remotely (e-Learning) but can occasionally be given at a Customer site.
2. You will be responsible to create the annual training class schedule and to work with Customers and Employees to organize unscheduled "by request" classes.
3. You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our existing course materials through review of our current product line, technical notes, etc.
4. You will be responsible for developing and delivering new course materials and e-Learning delivery methods as required based on business needs.
5. You may occasionally need to be available to assist projects, service and/or the help desk within the office environment, remotely or at a site.
Work complexity and business impact: Works independently to complete given assignments, carrying out day-to-day course delivery and development activities. Analyses and improves current ways of working. Manages own schedule.
Expectations
The incumbent must have a University or collegial Degree in Education, Engineering, or a related field combined with 3-5 years work experience related to the automation industry or education. Experience with DCS systems is a plus (e.g., Valmet D3, DNA, or maxDNA). Experience with adult education or formal mentor/apprentice training is also a plus. To be successful in this role, you must be electro-mechanically and software inclined.
This position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to travel up to 20% within North America and the occasional overseas trip. Strong interpersonal skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. You must possess the ability to interact and effectively communicate with customers as required and be self-directed and motivated.
The position is located either in Atlanta, GA; Owings Mills, MD; or Aiken, SC. The location for this position will depend on business needs as well as on the selected candidate.
