JOB TITLE: SharePoint DeveloperPOSITION NUMBER: 2502-11749-SPD-002POSITION LOCATION: Atlanta, GA, USAANTICIPATED START DATE: 4-6 weeks after candidate identificationTRAVEL: As required to fulfill the responsibilities of the positionASRT, Inc. provides scientific, information management, management consulting, bioinformatics, and administrative program support to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other Federal and private sector clients. The successful candidate will be a full-time employee of ASRT, Inc. and will be assigned to the Global Immunization Division (GID) of the Center for Global Health (CGH), at the CDC, 1600 Clifton Road, Atlanta, GA.
SCOPE OF WORKThe SharePoint Developer will provide SharePoint and IT development support and services for GID operations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Support division-wide development task including documentation for developing, constructing, deploying Microsoft 365 solutions and MS Office 365 migrations that support public health initiatives.
- Responsible for requirements gathering, documentation and SOPs, design, development, deployment, administration, monitoring, custom coding, construction, testing, trouble-shooting, customizing, implementing, modifying, enhancing, and archival activities.
- Maintain expertise with CDC technical environment (including Microsoft 365 and Azure).
- Assist GID personnel in migrating to cloud-based IT tools, environment and platforms including adopting new technologies.
- Work collaboratively with team to develop IT solutions to support staff projects and activities within GID under the direction of the IT Project Manager.
- Builds and maintains SharePoint solutions including scalable web applications, IT tools and systems.
- Performs overall configuration and customization of SharePoint systems in accordance with OCIO and CSPO parameters, specifications, and guidelines.
- Troubleshoots software, IT system and tool issues.
- Develop new web components using SharePoint Server, .NET, ADO.NET, VB, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, XML, SQL Server, Web Services, security, instrumentation, exception handling, SharePoint branding and support of large, complex, or enterprise-wide solutions.
- Perform enterprise architecture consulting activities such as interviewing stakeholders, conducting architecture reviews, and engaging in consensus building.
- Design, code and implements scalable applications within the CDC environment.
- Oversee architecture design and the integration of content management, portals, collaboration, business processes and/or other solutions.
- Conduct system training on the use of IT tools, systems, and other developed and established solutions within the GID Contracts and IT portfolio.
- Create web request forms using Power Apps that capture data on key performance metrics including numbers of web requests, level of complexity of work, and estimated resources expended.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience:- Bachelor or Master of Science, Communications, or Computer Science
Required:- 15 years experience development experience: Visual Studio, C#/.NET, ASP.NET, and HTML
- 8+ years experience with SharePoint (SharePoint Online preferred)
- 3+ years' experience with MS O365
- Proficient with JavaScript, XML, CSS, and HTML5
- Experience with Power Apps and Power BI
- Must possess associated technical knowledge associated with SharePoint like SQL Server administration, Windows Server Administration, Active Directory, etc.
- Experience in creating web-based workflows and forms
- Knowledge of web design and site implementation
- Understanding of the object-oriented programming paradigm
- Knowledge of Industry Specific Processes
- Experience in iterative, agile and/or scrum development recommended
- Knowledge using various tools for reporting and analysis of website statistics
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent organizational, intrapersonal, writing, and speaking skills for working with an interdisciplinary team including scientific and non-scientific collaborators
- Experience preparing written documents; documenting processes and workflows
Desirable:Language Skills:- The candidate must possess excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
