Our beautiful 46-room Best Western Canoga Park Motor Inn is seeking a part time Handyman/Maintenance employee. We need a team player with an good attitude. We are looking for someone who can handle a variety of painting, carpet cleaning, plumbing repairs, janitorial duties (sweeping, watering, etc.) and other routine Hotel maintenance. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds. English speaking is required. Daytime hours only, must be available to work on weekends. Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on rooms and equipment
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
- Conduct facilities maintenance including HVAC systems and plumbing.
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance projects
- Provide excellent customer service to internal departments
- Maintain a clean and tidy shop space
- Perform specialty cleaning tasks like removing stains from carpet
Skills
- Proficient in using basic hand tools and power tools
- Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment repairs
- Ability to maintain and repair various systems
- Familiarity with English language for effective communication
- Experience in facilities maintenance
- Knowledge of supervising maintenance staff
- Painting, tiling, and plumbing

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 2+ years of Hotel experience
