We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist in executing the in-person workshops at Toronto City Hall and the excursions. The volunteer will work alongside the executive team to deliver a fantastic experience for attendees.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in event set up at the Toronto City Hall meeting room
- Greet and check-in attendees
- Answer questions about the Resilient Woman Program and share about the organization's mission and values
- Facilitate the networking session to help attendees connect with each other and with team members
Required Skills, Experiences, and Attributes:
- Passion for empowering women and promoting diversity and inclusion
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in oral English
- Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute to a positive and inclusive environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Previous experience in a similar role or volunteering experience is an asset
Time Commitment:
- Each workshop shift is 3 hours - preferable if the volunteer can stay for the whole event
- Workshops occur monthly; however volunteers can be asked to be scheduled for certain months depending on their availability
- Volunteers must commit to a minimum of two events (from July to April)
Orientation/Training:
- The volunteer will receive mandatory training via Zoom prior to the workshop
