Position Summary: The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing financial reporting, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, hands-on experience with NetSuite, and a keen eye for detail. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to and streamline our accounting functions while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain and manage the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to ensure alignment of financial data and support business initiatives.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies and assist with audits.
- Continuously improve and optimize processes within NetSuite, leveraging the system to increase efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
- Proficiency in NetSuite ERP system is required; experience in other financial software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
- Experience in process improvement or system implementation projects
