Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and skilled individuals for the position of CADAC 1, 2, 3. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with substance use disorders. As a CADAC professional, you will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that promote recovery and well-being. The ideal candidates will possess a strong understanding of addiction counseling principles and demonstrate a commitment to helping others achieve their recovery goals.
Duties
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of clients to determine their needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions focused on addiction recovery strategies.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and community resources to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance counseling skills and knowledge of best practices in addiction treatment.
- Facilitate educational workshops and support groups for clients and their families.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
Experience
- A minimum of one year of experience in addiction counseling or related field is preferred for CADAC 2 and 3 positions; entry-level candidates may be considered for CADAC 1 roles.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices in addiction treatment is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Certification as a Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC) or equivalent is required for CADAC 2 and 3 positions; CADAC 1 candidates should be pursuing certification or have relevant coursework completed.
- Experience working in a clinical setting or substance abuse treatment facility is advantageous but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
