As a Cook, you will play a key role in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly. This position involves both food prep tasks and cooking during service hours. You’ll work closely with our culinary team to prepare ingredients, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and ensure food is cooked to perfection. Please read the following:
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare ingredients according to recipes and company standards (chopping, cutting, measuring, etc.)
- Assist in setting up workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment
- Cook menu items during service according to specifications
- Ensure food quality and presentation standards are met consistently
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with inventory management
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas after use
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to improving kitchen efficiency
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a prep cook, line cook, or similar role
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety practices
- Ability to follow recipes and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Flexibility with shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
