We believe that every child deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of background or income. We’re seeking an experienced, dedicated Lead Pediatric Nurse to join our team and help shape the future of pediatric care in our community.
What You’ll Do:
Assist Practice Manager to:
· Coordinate clinic services and staff workflows, schedules, and time off.
· Addressing staff and clinic issues by documenting and escalating to PM as needed.
· Regular observations and feedback to clinical staff ensuring safety procedures and proper implementation of required screenings.
· Annual evaluation of proficiency and competence of required clinical skills and procedures for clinical staff.
· Participates in the hiring process with PM.
· Complete program reports as required by PM.
· Training new and existing clinical staff to established standards and workflows to stay in compliance.
· Assist in ongoing development of clinical support staff including engaging staff in educational programs, quality reports and projects, team building activities.
· Assure clinic is stocked with medical and non-medical supplies and calibrated equipment, including ordering supplies as needed.
Nursing Responsibilities:
· Provide direct patient care within nursing scope of practice (i.e. rooming patients, assessments, performing vitals and screenings, treatments, injections, specimen collection, administering medications, etc.)
· Assure medicine and vaccines are available and appropriately stored, required documentation completion, oversee all staff to ensure process followed by all.
· Attend and participate in meetings/committees as requested.
· Direct and attend to phone calls as needed.
· Maintains up to date CPR/AED/OSHA knowledge
· Respond to emergency medical situations that occur in the facility
· Review EMR to ensure proper documentation and adherence to workflows for various clinical type visits.
· Works collaboratively with care team to coordinate care including case management, triage, walk-in services, medication refills, phone calls, and support services for medical provider in clinic.
· Demonstrate flexibility in work hours to meet operational needs.
What We’re Looking For:
· Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) and 3 years’ experience as a nurse in the specified program area.
· Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) and 5 years related program-specific nursing experience.
· Current active Registered Nurse (RN) from the Kentucky Board of Nursing required.
