Partner is seeking experienced Building Science Project Engineers in many locations! Do you have a degree in engineering, architecture or construction or experience in facilities, construction, inspection or appraisals?
If so, Partner could be the right fit for you! We are also hiring early career Project Engineers.
Whether you want a full-time career doing Property & Facility Condition Assessments and Due Diligence reports or if you simply want to walk a couple of sites a month, Partner has full-time, part-time and 1099 opportunities available.
We are open re: location. The following areas would be particularly helpful: Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin, Chicago, Tennessee, Wisconsin and the entire West Coast including Seattle, the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Conduct assessments of buildings to evaluate the condition of the building systems, provide recommendations for immediate repairs, and use observations and industry standards to determine future building system replacements
· Conduct appropriate site reconnaissance, data compilation and organization, and project research (historical, regulatory, etc.)
· Technical report authoring and preparation of quality supporting documents (maps, appendices, etc.)
· Plan, schedule, and track project timelines and milestones to ensure project progress status is on schedule and effectively communicate project progress and any issues as they arise to the Project Manager and client
· Provide solid recommendations and solutions to the Project Manager and client, while understanding the assessment’s potential impact on the transaction process
· Coordinate and respond to requests for changes in project scope
Qualifications
· A Bachelors or Graduate Degree in Architecture or related Engineering Field (Civil, Mechanical, etc.)
· Experience in architecture, engineering and/or construction/cost estimating
· Experience performing property inspections
· Experience completing similar work for financial institutions
Skills and Abilities
· Projects involve a degree of travel. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license and provide own transportation to and from project sites
· Ability to work on projects concurrently with a proven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time
· Familiar with the basic principles of civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering, including construction and maintenance of structures and systems
· Understand concepts of building component life cycles, system condition evaluation, replacement costs
· Demonstrate strong skills in observation, deduction, and reasoning
· Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift
· Requires the ability to climb a ladder

Compensation
1099 consultants will be paid a negotiated flat rate by project.
Full-time Salary range is $70,000 to $120,000 or higher for extensive related experience. This is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role.
