Job Overview:
We’re seeking an outgoing, professional, and detail-oriented host to join our team at Jo's Modern Thai. As the first point of contact for our guests, you’ll play a key role in creating a welcoming and memorable experience. Responsibilities:
Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously, ensuring they feel welcomed and cared for.
Manage the seating chart and guest flow to maximize efficiency during peak hours.
Answer phone calls and assist guests with inquiries, reservations, and takeout orders.
Prepare and organize the host stand, menus, and any guest-facing materials.
Assist with takeout order coordination, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for all orders.
Communicate effectively with servers and management to ensure smooth service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
Be proactive in addressing guest needs or concerns to enhance their overall experience.
Requirements:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
Ability to remain calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
Must be available to work evening shifts, a minimum of 4 days per week (weekends included)
Prior experience as a host is a plus, but not required—we’re happy to train the right candidate
Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Basic computer skills for managing reservations and takeout orders
Experience with Opentable reccomended
