We are seeking a dedicated Catering Office Manager to oversee our catering operations and ensure the successful planning and execution of events. The Catering Office Manager is responsible for selling and servicing catered events after it is booked. This is achieved through establishing and building strong client relationships; negotiating and finalizing through to contract; planning all event catering and operations; maintaining service and regular contact during the program; subsequent client follow up, billing and financial closure.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in schedule management, Quickbooks and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Responsibilities
* Develop, plan, and sell catering menus and services
* Manage existing accounts and follow up with client re-solicitation to capture future business
* Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
* Enter BEO’s into system utilizing Microsoft Excel
* Communicate with all company personnel
Qualifications
* Proven experience in an off-premises catering operation
* Familiarity with cost implications for food and beverage service, staffing, and decorations relative to respective event budgets.
* Experience with budgeting and financial management is preferred.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Exceptional customer service skills in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
* Proven experience in Quickbooks
* Proven experience in Microsoft Office & Excel
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Must be a creative and effective leader, possessing a high degree of professionalism
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Time management skills are a must
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules.
Experience:
Microsoft Office: 3 years (Preferred)
Administrative experience: 3 years (Preferred)
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour DOE
