Job DescriptionThe physician will be in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Division of Family Planning with subspecialist and family planning duties. The physician will assist with resident and medical student education and training activities which include educational conferences, complex family planning clinical care, obstetrics and gynecologic inpatient and outpatient care, and liaison with the affiliated Planned Parenthood programs. In addition, the physician will provide complex family planning services in the faculty practice, participate in OBGYN specialist activities such as Hospital coverage for Obstetrics (day shifts and on call on Labor and Delivery), Hospital coverage for the Gynecology service, resident supervision in their ambulatory clinics, and participate in research and quality improvement projects. The physician will participate in departmental and institutional committees in training, research and education activities.
Programmatic/Clinical• Assist in establishing appropriate patient flow for patients, inclusive of admission, surgical, medical and/or critical care services.
• Develop and implement protocols and policies as they relate to Family Planning care and Obstetrics and Gynecology as appropriate.
• Assist with oversight of family planning patient care across the continuum for the department and for specific patient care as appropriate.
Administrative• Departmental and hospital committee membership as appropriate.
• Participate in obstetrics and gynecology Performance Improvement projects and initiatives as appropriate.
• Work with hospital and department management and other clinicians to ensure ongoing quality of care.
• Conduct periodic medical record review to evaluate quality of care and identify opportunities for improvement, as directed by the Director of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program.
Teaching• Participate in obstetrics and gynecology educational conferences such as Grand Rounds, Morbidity and Mortality conference and resident didactics.
Research• Participate in relevant research, with both residents and faculty.

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range provided takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package that may be applicable to this role.
Pay Range: $316,000 - $500,000.
QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Medical Degree from accredited medical school.
- Board Certification or eligibility in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Unrestricted California License as Physician
- CSMC Medical Staff Membership
- Eligible for recommendation to the appropriate academic rank at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA.
- A published author of peer reviewed articles, with ability to serve as principal or co-investigator.
- A track record of excellence in teaching, patient care and administration comparable operating system that sufficiently provides for access to patient and other business information.
