The Level 4 technician or "Senior Maintenance Technician" is an advanced, self-directed lead responsible for performing mechanical, preventative, corrective, and project tasks, planning and implementing process improvements, and mentoring junior technicians for our high-volume plants. A level 4 tech should demonstrate superior leadership, and effective problem-solving / troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and electronic controls, and contribute to improving machine efficiencies and ergonomics with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
-Advanced Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform complex diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on dairy and cheese production machinery, including thermoforming equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
-Demonstrating expert skill performance in numerous primary maintenance functions such as: Electricity, Electronics/PLC, Plumbing, Mechanical, Machine Shop, Millwright, Welding, Boilers, Refrigeration, and Pneumatics/Hydraulics.
-Utility Maintenance competencies would include Mechanical, Electrical, PLC, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Building, and Plumbing functions.
-Preventive Maintenance and Equipment Repairs: Perform routine preventive maintenance, including inspecting and replacing motors, switches, and other components, to ensure reliable and efficient operation of dairy and cheese production machinery.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Maximo computer software.

Requirements:
-5+ years of extensive related experience in maintenance within a high-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.
-Significant experience with thermoforming processes is highly desirable.
-Highly preferred experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
Education:
-Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school is required.
Skills / Abilities:
-Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and possess strong leadership qualities.
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information.
Maintenance Competencies:
-Fabrication - welding, milling, lathes, modifying parts, design systems
-Program Variable Frequency Drives, chart recorders, temperature controllers, and flow meters
-Electrical - voltmeters, troubleshoot PLC logic panel, relay logic panels, motors, level sensors, flowmeters, PID Loop, calibrate sensors
-Hydraulic - adjust flow, repair/change/upgrade components
-Plumbing - Replace piping (copper/galvanized, steel, stainless, system design)
Salary:
$35.00 to $41.00 per hour
