The Pasta Technician is required to ensure the safe, efficient operation, cleaning of and
running adjustments for the pasta line. Understanding the dough mixing and gluten development during the dough mixing process is critical. Responsible for the maintenance of prescribed quantity and quality of product produced. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting machine basic performance, making machine adjustments and calling for additional resources required.

The position starts at part-time for training and moves into full time once completed.

Job Duties

Achieve high production numbers for daily goals
Produce product with an emphasis on quality
Operate complex machinery and make running adjustments as required
Follow running instructions
Provide feedback and maintenance requests to improve machine performance
Complete all assigned Quality checks
Participate in training and cross training, improvement initiatives including health, safety
and quality improvement
Compliance with workplace safety policies and regulations
Use all required safety equipment, e.g. Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles,
etc.

Requirements

High School diploma, GED or equivalent
Food Handler card
Experience as a pasta machine operator
Punctual
Reliable means of transportation
Able to work as a functioning member of a team
Strong work ethic
Ability to work independently in a busy environment
Experience with routine maintenance operations
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse
working environment
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

Ability to deal with people in a sensitive, tactful and professional manner.
