We are looking for a very detail oriented individual to join our team full-time assisting in Utility/Deburr, Lathe operations, and Quality. Day and swing shifts available with an extra 10% differential for second shift (swing). You need a good work ethic and willingness to learn. This position ensures that surfaces of parts are of satisfactory completion prior to inspection and shipment. Attention to detail is vital!
Successful candidate will be able to (with training):
• Set-up and/or operate grinding, media blast, manual mill / lathe, and related tools that remove excess material or burrs from internal and external surfaces; sharpen edges or corners; buff, hone and polish metal or plastic work pieces according to specifications.
• Perform a variety of operations to remove burrs or sharp edges and clean machined flat surfaces.
• Receive travelers, instructions for job, set up grinding/finishing equipment with proper grit belts and use equipment in a safe manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment to maintain good operation.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance; ability to work weekends or extended hours if required.
• Maintains positive attitude and the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as assigned by the Director of Manufacturing and senior members of management.
• Understanding of basic blueprints in both metric and US measurement units.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Adept at the use of hand grinding tools, calipers and other inspection tools as needed.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to interpret cosmetic and workmanship standards.
• Must have general computer skills for daily tasks.
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerances a plus.
• This position requires an individual who is highly organized with a sharp attention to detail.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
• Must possess and maintain a valid Oregon Driver License.
• Due to Federal ITAR requirements, must be a US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, or current green card holder.
