GT4 Events is high end catering company seeking for a passionate and energetic Sous Chef to join our team and is eager to grow with us.
Sous Chef Job Responsibilities:
The Catering Sous Chef assists the Executive Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, including menu planning, event food preparation, and kitchen staff management.
- The Catering Sous Chef will coordinate the activities of cooks and other food-service associates, taking on the responsibility of the kitchen and food-service staff in the absence of the Executive Chef.
- Collaborates with the head chef to direct food preparation.
- Have experience with menu seasonal menu creation, inventory, and supply management.
- Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards.
- Stores food in designated areas following all corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures.
- Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils, and cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving the area.
- Demonstrates complete understanding of daily menu items
- Oversees and supervises the kitchen staff when needed.
Requirements
Three years of catering experience in high volume upscale dining, corporate setting and/or related food service operations.
