Raptor Scientific, a Global Aerospace & Defense Test and Measurement Company, is seeking a full time motivated Service Technician who will have an excellent opportunity to develop their skills and career while providing service and support for our customers and their systems. The primary focus of this role is to support the maintenance and repairs of our customer product, to include performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and optimization of systems, and accurate documentation. A desire to learn and a passion for achieving excellence are required for this position. As part of our talented team, this individual will also be expected to assist manufacturing and be disciplined when performing routine and repetitive tasks. This position reports to the Product Support Manager. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, effective written and oral communications and strong attention to detail. In addition, this position requires good time management and follow-through skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet shifting deadlines.

RFS has a multifaceted team that develops cutting edge measurement systems in support of the Aerospace and Defense industry. Our team is focused on customer needs and providing full spectrum support including engineering, field measurement, software development and manufacturing.

The full-time hours for this position are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and every other Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. A full benefits package is available after 30 days.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Packaging and dismantling of large systems.
• Preventive and corrective maintenance to include inspections, lubrication, cleaning and detailing of systems.
• Assembly and testing of electro-mechanical assemblies/systems and may include sol-dering, crimping and cable assembly.
• Troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical subsystems.
• Follow and execute assembly procedures, to include written and verbal instructions ensuring all product specifications are met.
• Operate production equipment.
• Perform precision work with efficiency, maintain consistent quality and complete tasks on time
• Accurate, complete and timely technical documentation.
• Assist with other daily duties as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
• 0-3 years’ experience as assembly or service technician
• 0-3 years’ experience in debugging and repairing electronics components
• Basic knowledge of electronics or desire to develop
• Desire to develop analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge in the use of multi-meters and oscilloscopes, a plus
• Quick learning ability and strong productive work ethic
• Good mechanical ability
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently
• Basic computer skills to include familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to meet changing needs within the department.
• Consistent attendance and punctuality
• Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds or assist in lifting large items
• Ability to be on feet for up to 6 hours a day when required
EDUCATION
Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Completion of apprenticeship and/or formal training and/or an AS degree is desired.
