Star Rug Cleaners is the oldest rug washing facility in Santa Barbara dating back to 1921. We are looking for a technician to assist with rug washing, pick up and delivery, customer interaction and general labor. The job requires no previous experience and provides training on the job. If you have seen the videos of companies cleaning dirty rugs with hoses, squeegees and pressure washers, that is what we do.
At this time, we are looking for someone to provide assistance to our current staff and will work with the skills you have and show excellence in to fill the areas of need we have.
• Job duties: Regularly lifting heavy loads, sometimes up to 50lbs. Facility maintenance. Washing rugs indoors in a wet environment. Working with your hands to spot clean and detail rugs. Driving a delivery van. Interaction with customers.
• Requirements include: A valid driver's license and a clean record. Must be insurable. A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills. Ability to work alone and in a team.
• Positive Skills that are not required: Prior knowledge and experience in any of the following: general maintenance, construction, electrical, office skills, customer interactions, receiving payments and giving change
• Schedule: Full-time at 40 hours per week Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm.
• Compensation: $20.00/hour
