We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized QI Field Department Clerk to join our wonderful office team. The successful candidate will be responsible for visiting physicians' offices to securely copy and extract medical records and other critical data. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Data Collection:
o Travel to physicians' offices to access, copy, and extract electronic and/or physical medical records.
o Utilize specialized tools, software, and equipment to ensure accurate and efficient data extraction.
• Data Security:
o Handle sensitive patient data with the utmost confidentiality and integrity.
o Ensure all data collection and transfer processes comply with HIPAA and other applicable privacy regulations.
• Technical Support:
o Set up and troubleshoot hardware and software systems required for data extraction.
o Address technical issues promptly to minimize downtime during site visits.
• Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain detailed logs of records extracted, including the type and quantity of data collected.
o Provide frequent updates to team
o Maintain an organized Calendar
o Provide regular updates and reports to the project management team.
• Relationship Management:
o Establish and maintain positive working relationships with physicians' office staff.
o Communicate effectively to coordinate visits and address concerns.
o Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and Abilities:
• Strong technical aptitude with experience using data extraction tools, scanners, and software applications.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical terminology (preferred).
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Other Requirements:
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel between locations.
• Flexibility to travel extensively within assigned regions.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 25 lbs).
Working Conditions:
• Frequent travel to physicians’ offices within a designated territory.
• Interaction with office staff in fast-paced environments.
• Handling of sensitive patient data in a secure and professional manner
