Smoke Soul Kitchen is an exciting new soul food restaurant dedicated to serving high-quality, soulful, and flavorful dishes. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Prep/Line Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate should have experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and have a passion for cooking. We are open and willing to train, but candidates must have a great attitude and be dependable. This position is part-time, with required shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday mornings and additional opportunities for offsite catering events.
Responsibilities:
-Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
-Assist in daily kitchen prep and maintain a clean and organized workstation.
-Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
-Support offsite catering events as needed.
Requirements:
-Previous experience in a restaurant environment as a prep cook, line cook, or similar role preferred.
-Food Handler Certification recommended (must obtain within 30 days of hire if not already certified).
-Ability to work weekends and be available for catering jobs.
-Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
-Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
-Must be punctual, detail-oriented, and a team player.
Compensation: Hourly pay (based on experience).
