ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, AUTOMATION
SUMMARY:
The Associate Director of Automation, reporting to the VP of Data, Analytics, & Automation, will lead the Ionis' efforts in leveraging the Microsoft 365 platform, including SharePoint and Power Apps, to drive automation and enhance productivity. This role is pivotal in implementing AI-driven solutions for Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and will serve as a thought leader in the integration of AI technologies across the enterprise. The leader will have ownership of the MS365 platform automation tools, ensuring its optimal use and alignment with business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and execute a strategic vision for automation using the MS365 platform.
- Refine support model for MS365 platform in partnership with the Service Desk to ensure they have the training and resources to perform the front-line support.
- Serve as a thought leader in AI for RPA, guiding the organization in adopting cutting-edge technologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable automation solutions.
- Take ownership of the MS365 platform, ensuring it is effectively utilized and continuously optimized to meet organizational needs.
Technical Expertise:
- Leverage SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, and other Microsoft 365 tools to streamline business processes.
- Design and implement automation services that are high scale, low latency, and cost-effective.
- Ensure solutions are intuitive, responsive, and enhance user experience.
Project Management:
- Drive projects from conception to delivery, removing obstacles to ensure successful implementation.
- Collaborate with IT and key business partners in developing a technology roadmap for automation initiatives.
Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing:
- Work closely with support teams to develop a common support model for MS365 including SharePoint.
- Work closely with infrastructure and security teams to securely deploy and manage M365 services.
- Promote knowledge sharing and contribute to educational materials for users.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience in software design and administration with the Microsoft stack.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft 365, including deep expertise in SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, and other Power Platform tools.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing RPA solutions.
- Experience in cloud services, with Azure experience highly desirable.
- Experience with Agile and iterative customer-centric development processes.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to convey technical details clearly.
